A Custom Jeep Wrangler 4xe Storage System Built for Adventure
The Customer
When Andrew from Owen Sound, Ontario began outfitting his 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe for camping adventures, he knew exactly what he wanted - and what he didn't.
Like many Jeep owners, he had plenty of room for adventure but limited cargo space. Camping gear, cooking supplies, and a portable fridge all competed for the same space, making it difficult to stay organized on the trail.
After being referred to us by Matt at Red Bear Outdoors in Mississauga (thanks, Matt!), Andrew reached out looking for a storage solution that would make packing simpler, accessing gear easier, and weekends outdoors far more enjoyable.
The Challenge
The goal wasn't to build a camper, it was to make every inch of the Wrangler's cargo area work harder.
Andrew wanted:
- A dedicated slide-out location for a Dometic fridge.
- Secure storage for camping gear and cooking utensils.
- A clean, organized layout that kept everything in its place.
- A system durable enough to handle rough roads and frequent use.
- A finish that looked right at home inside his Jeep.
The Solution
Andy designed and built a fully custom rear storage system specifically for Andrew's Jeep Wrangler 4xe.
The layout combines three spacious storage drawers with a heavy-duty slide-out fridge platform, giving Andrew quick access to everything he needs without unpacking the vehicle.
To complete the build, we finished the countertop in our Antique Black Wash stain and added a durable rubber mat across the top. The rubberized surface keeps coolers, bags, and other gear securely in place while travelling rough roads and doubles as a practical work surface at camp.

A Dedicated Home for the Dometic Fridge
One of Andrew's top priorities was creating a dedicated home for his Dometic portable fridge. Rather than having it slide around the cargo area or require unloading other gear to access it, Andy designed a heavy-duty slide-out platform that keeps the fridge secure while travelling and effortlessly accessible when it's time to stop for lunch or set up camp.
The result is a cleaner, more organized cargo area and a camping experience that's faster, easier, and far more enjoyable.

Three Deep Drawers for Organized Adventure
Camping gear has a way of taking over a vehicle, especially in the compact cargo area of a Jeep Wrangler. This custom storage system features three deep drawers, giving Andrew dedicated space for cooking utensils, camping essentials, recovery equipment, and everyday gear.
Everything has a place, making it easy to find what he needs without digging through bins or unpacking the entire vehicle. Whether he's heading out for a weekend getaway or a longer overland adventure, the system keeps his gear organized and ready to use.

Built for Rugged Adventures
To complement the rugged interior of Andrew's Wrangler, we finished the countertop in our Antique Black Wash stain before adding a durable rubber mat across the entire surface.
The rubberized top provides a stable, non-slip surface for coolers, bags, and other camping equipment while travelling rough roads. It also doubles as a convenient work surface for preparing meals or organizing gear at camp, adding another layer of functionality without taking up additional space.
