What is the process for starting a custom build?  
We start with a free, 30 minute consultation to understand your needs and vehicle. You'll email us photos and measurements, and a list of appliances/fixtures you want incorporate into the build.  From there, we provide a design estimate, finalize plans, and begin production. It's straightforward and we'll guide you every step.

How involved can I be in the design process?  
Very! We love collaborating with customers and encourage you to share ideas, photos or sketches. Our team collaborates closely to tailor the build to your style and functionality needs, ensuring it's a perfect fit for your vehicle and lifestyle.

What vehicles can you create custom furniture for?
We specialize in overland vehicles like vans, trucks, and SUVs, and can adapt to most makes and models. Popular options include Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, Chevy Express and Ram ProMaster. Our furniture is also well suited to RVs and tiny homes. Contact us with your vehicle's details for compatibility.

Do you offer off-grid power integration?
We work with a licensed electrician from Off Grid Overland who can handle anything from basic to complex electrical setups, for your custom build. They're  not affiliated with Overland Interiors and will provide their own quote directly to you.

What is your Customization Fee? 
We can customize any piece from our ready-to-install line to fit most vehicles for a minimum fee of $125 CAD. Simply email us a photo of a cardboard template of the area, including measurements - it's an easy process that we can walk you through.

What are your Custom Design Fees?  
Every custom build requires unique designs for our CNC machine. We charge $125/hr CAD for developing comprehensive CAD files and provide an upfront estimate for the design time based on your project's complexity.

How much does a custom build typically cost?  

Costs are tailored to complexity, materials, and size. Simple custom pieces start affordably, while more extensive builds scale from there. We provide detailed quotes after your initial consultation, including breakdowns for our design time, materials and labour.  No surprises and no hidden fees.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

As a small business, we don’t offer in-house financing, but we do make things easier with flexible, staged payments. Here’s how it works:

  • Custom design fees are paid upfront
  • The full cost of any custom piece is due before we begin production
  • Installation and any additional items are due upon completion

We happily accept electronic & bank transfers, credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

How long does a custom build take?
We'll give you a personalized timeline during quoting. Full conversions generally take anywhere from 4-8 weeks, depending on complexity and material availability. 

Do you offer delivery or installation? 
Both.  We offer installation services or we can arrange shipping or delivery of your custom pieces North American-wide (fees apply based on location). Ask about rates during your consultation.

What is your warranty on custom builds?
We offer a 2-year warranty on materials and craftsmanship for all custom work. If issues arise, we'll repair or replace at no cost, excluding normal wear or misuse.

What materials do you use, and are they durable for overland use?  
We use high-quality, lightweight composites, weather-resistant woods, and fabrics designed for rugged environments. Our materials resist moisture, vibration, and temperature changes to ensure longevity on the road.

What is your return policy?
We stand behind the quality of our work. Typically, we don't mess around with returns.  In the rare instance your product arrives damaged email us with a photo and details and we'll replace it. If the issue is related to your build or installation, contact us directly at rebecca@overlandinteriors.com.
