🍁 Why Overland Interiors

A drawer cabinet inside a moving vehicle has a very different job from a dresser sitting in a house.

Every trip introduces movement, vibration, changing temperatures, loaded drawers, rough roads, and repeated daily use. That's why the details you don't immediately see matter just as much as the finished appearance.

We build this cabinet with premium birch plywood, dovetail drawer construction, heavy-duty extension slides, and lightweight honeycomb construction where appropriate rather than relying on the materials and assembly methods typically found in mass-produced household furniture.

Five individually built dovetail drawers also require considerably more material, hardware, machining, assembly, and finishing than a simple cabinet with doors or open shelving, but they give you something especially valuable in a small vehicle: organized storage you can actually access.

Each cabinet is then made to order in our Dundas, Ontario shop, rather than pulled from a warehouse or mass-produced overseas.

The result is a cabinet designed not simply to fill an empty space, but to work properly inside your vehicle, trip after trip.
