With over 30 years of experience in cabinetry and interior design, he crafts functional, modern furniture for vans and overland rigs. It began with a message to Chrome Valdez of VANCITY VANLIFE....“Hey Chrome, I’ve been watching your channel for over a year and wanted to reach out to say, if you’re ever in Ontario, please stop by our shop. We’d love to help you with your build.”
That was the moment that the Van Life bug bit me. I did a deep dive into the world of van build videos and in the fall of 2019, Chrome made the trip from BC's west coast to Dundas, Ontario. What started as a quick “touch up” of the existing cabinetry quickly evolved into a full custom build, capturing Chrome's unique charm & personality. By the time he headed back to BC, Chrome had a brand-new set up. And in 2020, he came back for a second round.
