It started with a simple message to Chrome Valdez of The Chrome Project, which introduced us to the world of van life and custom van conversions. In 2019, Chrome traveled from British Columbia to our shop in Dundas, Ontario, where a small cabinetry upgrade quickly turned into a full custom camper van build. He returned in 2020, and again in 2025 with a new Mercedes Sprinter van for one of our most advanced builds to date.

While these projects helped shape our early experience, they weren’t the reason we changed direction.

That shift came during the COVID-19 pandemic, when museum installations -our primary work at the time - came to a stop. Like many businesses, we had to rethink everything. We focused our skills on building high-quality, functional furniture for van life and overland travel.

What began as a pivot quickly became our purpose.

Today, Overland Interiors is based in Ontario, Canada, specializing in custom van conversions, modular van furniture, and premium overland interiors for adventurers across Canada and beyond.
