Tiny Van, Big Ideas: A Dodge Promaster City Microvan Build

In late 2023, we had the pleasure of teaming up with our friends at Vancini Conversions to help bring their client’s vision to life—a beautifully functional build-out of a Dodge Promaster Ram City microvan.

Designing multifunctional furniture for small spaces is something we’re passionate about at Overland Interiors. With years of experience behind us, we know how to make every inch count. This project was no exception and we're proud of the result: a compact, cleverly designed tiny home on wheels.

We crafted a custom 65" single bed (similar to our Single Sleeper Bed System) complete with custom headboard and an integrated storage system that houses three, side-by-side, dual access dovetail drawers, a dedicated compartment for an Igloo cooler, and a ventilated storage cabinet for the power bank.

The kitchen area features a custom version of our Microfridge Cabinet.  It houses a small stainless steel sink set into a premium birch countertop.  The cabinet below holds grey and fresh water tanks keeping them out of sight. We also incorporated two soft-close drawers and a clever pull-out element that functions during the day, as a workstation, and at meal times, as a cutting board.  A slim, discreet compartment keeps the cooking stove neatly tucked away but easily accessible.

We love the challenge of designing for small spaces. This build is a great example of how thoughtful, simple solutions can make a compact setup incredibly functional.
