A Hometown Build Designed for Adventure & Utility
When it comes to vanlife, nothing beats solutions that works as hard as you do. For Graham—one of our local customers from right here in Dundas, ON—functionality, durability, and organization were must have's, so we built him a fully custom setup that delivers on all fronts:
1. Double Bench Bed System: By day, it’s a clean and comfortable seating area. By night, it transforms into a double bed. Each bench pulls double duty. The driver's side houses the electrical system, while the passenger's side stores the water system for the shower and kitchenette - keeping everything hidden and secure.
2. Custom Kitchenette: This kitchenette is all about utility. It starts with an attractive, Solid Surface countertop and set-in sink. Add three spacious dovetail drawers to hold kitchen essentials, a ventilated fridge cabinet to ensure the Truck fridge stays cool and efficient, and a service cabinet to tuck away the plumbing and provide extra storage. At the back, add in a pull out surface (like the one we sell in our shop) for extra space for a cooking stove or laptop.
3. Microwave Cabinet with Lower Shelf: To complement the kitchenette, we crafted a custom cabinet for the microwave with a shelf for small kitchen tools and napkins.
4. Upper Cabinets (x3): Simple, open, and door-free storage provides fast access to all your gear.
We used premium birch plywood to trim along the floor and around the bathroom door, creating a clean, simple look that finishes the van, giving that true, custom look.
